    • Witness Washington's majesty by moonlight

See Washington’s spectacular sights at sunset and under milky moonshine. This unmissable moonlit bike tour takes you to the Capitol, National Mall, Washington Monument, Tidal Basin, and the city's most magnificent memorials, with the added benefit of bike rental.

You’ll ride the National Mall, where hundreds of thousands amass to hear inaugural speeches, and which stretches between the United States Capitol and the Washington Monument. See the world’s tallest obelisk sublimely underlit as you take in an unforgettable view of the White House.

Next, you’ll ride around the Tidal Basin, forming part of West Potomac Park, where 250 million US gallons of water from the Potomac River rush through the basin twice a day to flush the Washington Channel. Cycle past numerous awe-inspiring memorials, including those to Thomas Jefferson, Martin Luther King Jr., Franklin D Roosevelt, John Paul Jones, and George Mason. Capture your reflection in the stunning moonlit waters of the basin itself, along with that of the imposing Jefferson memorial.

Onwards to the WWII Memorial and Vietnam Veterans Memorial for moments of a different reflection, before your bicycle tour continues to the Lincoln Memorial. History buffs will instantly recognize this Greek-style building as the site of Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address, and where the words of Martin Luther King Jr’s “I Have a Dream” speech echoed off the walls.

Your guide will be on hand for the whole bike tour to give you tips and facts about the sites, local exhibits, events, and venues.

        Cool but disappointed

        · Washington DC Monuments at Night Bike Tour

I really enjoyed this tour overall - it's hard to go wrong with seeing all of the beautiful monuments in DC as the sun sets! That being said, our guide didn't given much history or narrative to each spot we visited, I was hoping to hear more about each monument, rather than the stats. Also I was disappointed by how the guide talked about the various war memorials - our guide did give us some background but based on the tone used, I felt like I was hearing about a fun fact, rather than a very somber event/location. Overall, I wanted to hear little known facts, local lore and knowledge but instead, I felt like I could have just looked up each site we went to on wikipedia and gotten the same information (and more) than what I heard on this tour.

Also, our guide also was biking so far ahead of everyone, it felt like he was racing to get around, leaving people behind. Given this was a tour that went into the night, he also didn't warn much about the terrain or being careful around various areas. I saw multiple people fall and one person ran into a barrier at a narrow pathway area.

Great way to see historic DC sites

        · Washington DC Monuments at Night Bike Tour

this was a great way to see a lot of the major sites around the National Mall. at 3 hours long, there was sufficient time to see the major sites without feeling rushed. Friendly and informative tour guide, and the pace was just right. We did the evening tour, which I would recommend to see some of the sites at night. My husband and I definitely recommend this tour.

Excellent tour and best way to see monuments

        · Washington DC Monuments at Night Bike Tour

I am so glad we did this tour. It was so informative and fun. I took my 12 and 14 year old sons and they loved it too. We had Ashley as a guide and she was excellent. She gave a clear view of what was coming next and great insights of D.C. I highly recommend.
