    • Cruise and Cycle to Corfu’s Old Town, Cephalonia’s Beaches, and the Legendary Island of Odysseus

With three incredible itineraries to choose from, whether you're biking and boating from Corfu to Corfu, Corfu to Athens, or the other way around, Greece's Ionian Islands are guaranteed to impress you with spellbinding scenery and their authentic local culture.

Cycle scenic routes on the idyllic islands of Paxos, Lefkas, Cephalonia, Nidri, Ithaca, and Aegina, each offering a mix of natural beauty, quiet roads, and delightful local charm. Along the way, explore historic towns, enjoy refreshing swims, and relax on board the comfortable boat - your floating home for the week. A highlight of the tour is the journey through the impressive Corinth Canal, a marvel of engineering that links the Ionian and Aegean Seas.

Greece's Ionian Islands by Bike & Boat

       Tour Description Daily Program

    • Daily program

      • Day 1: Arrival in Corfu
Welcome aboard! Check-in starts at 2 pm. You’ll have time to settle into your cabin and get to know the boat before sitting down to a welcome dinner with your fellow travelers. Tonight, you’ll stay docked in the lovely old town of Corfu.

        Day 2: Corfu Island - Sivota - Parga - Lefkas Island (18 mi. / 28 km)
In the morning, your boat sets sail for Sivota, a quiet harbor on the Greek mainland. From there, hop on your bike and ride to Parga, a charming seaside town with a hilltop fortress overlooking colorful houses and the coast. Later, you'll rejoin the boat and cruise toward Lefkas Island, passing the swing bridge that connects it to the mainland. Spend the evening in Nidri, a lively waterfront town.

Day 3: Island of Lefkas (21 mi. / 35 km)
After breakfast, pedal out to a nearby waterfall—if there’s enough water, you can enjoy a revitalizing swim! Then, ride along quiet country roads through Siyros and on to the peaceful harbor of Sivota. From there, you’ll cruise to Fiskardo on Cephalonia, where colorful buildings and waterfront cafés make for an idyllic setting.

        Day 4: Cephalonia Island (25 mi. / 39 km)
Today you’ll tackle one of the more challenging (and rewarding) rides of the week. Starting in Fiskardo, follow a winding mountain road along Cephalonia’s dramatic west coast, with incredible views over Assos and Myrtos Beach. After crossing the island, you’ll visit the magical Melissani Cave by rowboat—watch how the sunlight turns the water shades of glowing blue! Your boat will be waiting in Sami, ready to sail on to Vathy on Ithaca.

        Day 5: Islands of Ithaca (13 or 17 mi. / 20 or 28 km)
This morning you'll explore Ithaca, the legendary home of Odysseus. This island is rugged and quiet, full of olive groves, hidden bays, and peaceful villages. Choose between a longer, more challenging route or a shorter scenic ride. Either way, you’ll enjoy a taste of authentic island life. You’ll finish in Frikes, where the boat takes you to the nearby island of Meganisi.

        Day 6: Islands of Meganisi & Paxos (10 mi. / 17 km)
You’ll start the day with a relaxed ride around Meganisi, a small island with traditional villages and quiet roads. Stop for a coffee or a swim at Spartochori Beach, then set sail for Paxos in the afternoon. You’ll arrive in Gaios, a charming harbor town that’s perfect for an evening stroll or dinner in a cozy taverna.

        Day 7: Islands of Paxos & Corfu (14 mi. / 23 km)
Your final ride takes you around Paxos, the smallest of the Ionian Islands, known for its olive groves and laid-back, peaceful vibe. Take your time cycling the island, with plenty of chances for a swim or a beach break. After lunch, cruise back to Corfu Town. Enjoy a farewell dinner on board and perhaps a last wander through the romantic old streets of Corfu.

        Day 8: Departure from Corfu
After breakfast, it’s time to say goodbye. Check-out is at 9 am, followed by a group transfer to the airport. If you have extra time, staying longer in Corfu is definitely worth it!

Day 1: Arrival in Athens (Piraeus)

        Day 2: Aegina – Corinth Canal – Galaxidi (22 mi. / 35 km)
This morning, you’ll cruise to Aegina, a lovely island known for its pistachios. Your first bike ride takes you to the impressive Temple of Aphaia, perched high above the sea with amazing views. In the afternoon, hop back on board for a highlight of the trip—the boat sails through the legendary Corinth Canal, a narrow 19th-century waterway that slices dramatically through solid rock. If the weather allows, you’ll continue sailing to Galaxidi for the night; otherwise, you’ll stay in or near Corinth.

        Day 3: Delphi – Nafpaktos – Mesolongi
After breakfast, a shuttle takes you from Galaxidi to Delphi, one of the most iconic ancient sites in Greece. Set at the foot of Mount Parnassus, Delphi is filled with temples, a theater, and historical ruins. You’ll also enjoy breathtaking views over the valley below. In the afternoon, the bus brings you to Nafpaktos, where you’ll have time to explore the charming harbor and grab lunch. Then it’s on to Mesolongi, where the boat will be waiting for your overnight stay.

        Day 4: Mesolongi – Ithaca (21 mi. / 35 km)
This morning, enjoy a longer crossing to Ithaca with the chance for a swim stop along the way (if the conditions are right)! In the afternoon, you’ll explore Ithaca by bike—a rugged, peaceful island steeped in legend and far from the tourist crowds. Olive groves, sweeping views, and sleepy villages make today’s ride a highlight. You’ll spend the night in the port town of Vathy.

        Day 5: Meganisi & Lefkas (11 mi. / 18 km + optional 6 mi. / 10 km)

Today’s route winds through the Lefkas mountains, promising beautiful views along the way. Stop in the charming hill village of Karia for a well-earned coffee break before arriving in the island’s capital. There, the Panagiota is ready for a relaxing afternoon cruise to Paxos. Spend the evening enjoying the island’s natural harbor in Gaios, with its peaceful charm and cozy tavernas.

        Day 7: Paxos – Corfu (14 mi. / 23 km)
Paxos is a small, scenic island blanketed in olive groves that shimmer in the sunlight. You’ll bike a full loop around the island today, with time to swim or lounge on one of its many beaches. In the afternoon, set sail for Corfu. Your last evening on board includes a farewell dinner and the chance to celebrate the week with your fellow travelers and crew.

       Bikes Other Details

    • Map

Maps are for information purposes only and reflect typical routes between overnight locations. They may not reflect your actual route.

      Surface and terrain

This is a moderate to difficult guided bike and boat tour that requires an advanced level of fitness. Ideally, participants should be accustomed to biking daily.

The daily biking distances are between 14-31 miles (23-50 km) through mountainous or hilly areas, reaching an altitude of 1,000-2,3000 feet (300-700 m). The bike tour takes place on roads that are mostly asphalted.

Participants can always opt for a day off for leisure time to spend on the boat, perhaps sunbathing or swimming. E-bikes are available in a limited number. They must be reserved early and it should be understood that the tour pace will be set by those on regular bikes, who will need more time to rest and climb the hills.

      How to get there

Arrive and depart from Corfu International Airport (CFU). The airport, also known as Ioannis Kapodistrias Airport, is approx. 3 km south of Corfu Town.

The boat will be moored at one of three possible places on arrival day (to be confirmed); Corfu yard port, Corfu ferry port, or Marina Gouvia (around 10 km north of Corfu Town). The embarkation port is typically decided the evening before tour start, so we highly recommend an arrival transfer to take you to the embarkation point. If an arrival transfer is not booked, you will be given a number to call on embarkation day for directions to the boat, reachable by taxi or bus. If using a standard taxi, please insist that the driver turns the taximeter on to guarantee you the expected fare.
