      Surface and terrain

This guided bike and boat tour is rated moderate to difficult, with daily biking distances of 18-28 miles (20-45 km). These distances require participants to have considerable fitness levels - you should be accustomed to consistent biking.

The terrain is mountainous and hilly with some long (and steep) climbs, reaching an altitude of 200-500 meters at times. You don't have to worry about time - participants can take as long as they need on the climbs. E-bike upgrades are available, but e-bike users must be aware that the tour pace is set by those using regular bikes who need more time to rest and climb the hills.

Participants will hear from their guide ahead of each day what the route section will involve. You always have the choice to skip a biking day to spend leisure time sunbathing on the boat.

The tour takes place on mostly asphalted roads with light traffic. More traffic is expected around towns during peak season.
